Oh my LORD what a delicious breakfast!

I stopped in here one morning on my trip before heading out for a day of shopping and visiting sights.

The coffee was good and hot. I ordered a Rapahannock Benedict, which is fried oysters with Hollandaise. It came with hash browns, and I also ordered a side of scrapple, since I was a scrapple newbie. FRIED OYSTER BENNIE? Yes, please!

Everything was hot and fresh, and the service was attentive. As a first scrapple experience, this was pretty good! Crunchy on the outside, mushy and porky on the inside. Definitely want to come back and try the fried green tomato Benedict next time!

Serendipity!! We found this adorable diner by accident! The restaurant we meant to go to was closed, so this place was in the same plaza!  Yes, score!  Eat 66, we are so glad we found you!

It's such a bright, colorful, cheerful diner!  It's galley style with booths and tables and an inviting counter!  Beachy colors splashed on with walls with nostalgic décor, roadsigns and lit with fun fixtures!  We were immediately greeted by a outgoing server with a big smile!

The menu is so appetizing with breakfast all day and country lunches like Salisbury steaks, Po'boys, Meatloaf, and other Southern favorites plus lots of great sandwiches to choose from!  My friend chose the chicken and dumplings which were homemade and hearty!  I tried the dish and the chicken was tender, and the dumplings were perfect, not those lame noodle ones but fluffy clouds of goodness!  Yummy!! I'd go back just for that meal!

The most amazing bite I put in my mouth?  The fried green tomatoes!  Perfectly golden, crispy on the outside served with dill sauce and remoulade!  Oh my!! Towanda!!!!! Get in my belly!!

If a restaurant offers breakfast all day, I'm in!  I had the country ham, eggs with marble rye and TATER TOTS!! Sooo good!

I loved this diner!  It checked all the boxes for me!  Great food, immaculately clean, fabulous service, fair pricing, terrific atmosphere!  It will definitely be one of my favorite spots to dine!  Get your kicks at Eat 66!!

    It's OK.
I had the scrapple breakfast that comes with 2 eggs cooked to order, wheat toast, hash browns and coffee.

I read where they serve scrapple which is liver mush where I come from in North Carolina. It was undercooked as were the hash browns.
    The coffee was meh.

The wheat toast and the over easy eggs were done just right.

I found this hidden gem on Yelp. Good spot for Brunch. This diner has a 60's vibe feel. Their hours are to 2pm all week and 3pm on Sunday. No waiting,  I got a table right away. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. They have a waiter/waitress by committee. Anyone who walks by your table can help you. I thought that was different,  but welcoming. You never have to sit around and wait. They have great sounds playing in the background.

I had the Texas Cowboy Hash, I had to wrestle that bad boy to the ground. The tropical Mimosa was tasty as well. If you're in or around the area, give them a try. I'm sure you'll return.

One simply cannot go wrong with this gem of a spot in the Stratford Hills shopping center!
I had a perfectly executed Italian frittata. Of course I nearly cried when I saw they had SCRAPPLE available as a side. Two, thick, and perfectly grill top fried porky goodness squares were served and promptly consumed. (In a Ron Swanson tone and face: "Don't judge me son, I know what I'm about.") I'm one of these people that will always go for scrapple exactly BECAUSE I've read the packages that scrapple comes in.
The route 66 decor and great music only served to enhance my experience. I will be sure to return and try some more of the bold sounding items on their menu.
